Hey Wolfspiritky, I finally got back my 1903 shooter from "The Shooters Roost" in North Carolina. I had it black parkerized it's wonderful. It came back with a dark black matte finish.

Here it is, the end of May and my 1903 shooter has not returned from the parkerizer ! Getting itchy to see a totally parkerized 1903. Its' finish was not great but didn't have any pitting etc. Should really shine parkerized.

Just posted a few pictures of my 1903 Colt with some custom grips and they were not outragously expensive. Soon as my shoulder holster arrives I will carry this some along with my primary carry pistol. I truly appriciate this old gun. Classic

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum. Can you give me a little more information on your pistol? You didn't mention the caliber or the condition it's in. You do know that you're sitting on a very valuable gun, don't you? If it's the .38acp model, it's doubly valuable!

This little pistol is one of best small caliber pistols ever made. They come in 4 model groups I, II, III $ IV. The model I used a seperate barrel bushing and the later models had a lug on the barrel
