I recently picked up a 22.mag black widow i and my husband enjoy playing it but it seems my old 38 stub has more control then the much smaller widow.As someone who is new to shooting why is that. i keep my 38 that im comfotable with in my bedroom. really like shooting the widow just cant get comfortable with having it loaded in the house for if needed gun.... more »« less

mgkdrgn, welcome to the forum! I've got the 22LR mini revolver and enjoy shooting it alot. I wish I had the 22 mag too. What's your impression of the recoil from the magnum? I agree with you on it's natural "pointability". It's surprisingly easy to shoot. I wondered about that when I bought it. I was a little concerned that it would be like holding a lit firecracker!! The fit up is excellent so there is no cylinder flash. It makes a great pocket gun. There is no reason not to take this one with you!... more »« less

Purchased BW in 22Mag used about a month ago. Wonderful little gun. Very natural "point" for me, and surprisingly accurate (first time at the plate machine at 15 yards ... 5 rounds, 5 plates). LOUD! Think "noisy cricket". This think isn't going to have the pure knock down power of a 45, but it sure will be a nasty little surprise for anyone looking to do me harm. bought both bw & mm 5 ys ago. rethroated barrells. use cci velociters in both lr cyl. ccci tnt in both mag cyls. both guns very accurate for their size. added nitesiters to both. check them out at www.nitesiters.com. both are either on me or with in reach. use hip holster w/ minnimag & insidewaistband for bw. the a/d you mentioned were opperator error,only way that could happen. have carried revs for 60 yrs now,cant be too careful. lol... more »« less

cdfarmer, I've never heard of such a thing before. If you can provide a link to that information I'd appreciate it. I own a NAA mini revolver and fail to see how this could happen if the hammer wasn't cocked. If the cylinder was loaded and the hammer was dropped (uncocked) improperly could cause a shell to fire. No different than pulling the trigger. But that isn't the fault of the gun, that's the fault of the operator. Rimfire firearms are quite safe and require the same attention to safety as any centerfire weapon.... more »« less

I have recently heard of two accidental discharges on Black Widow 22 Mag. revolvers On one a man shot himself through the hand. Both cases involved a discharge right after it was reloaded. My understanding is the trigger was not touched nor were they cocked. I don't know much about rimfire pistols. Is this a common problem with a Black Widow or rimfire pistols in general? is there a precaution to avoid AD on these type of pistols?... more »« less

Ive got the NAA 22LR and bought a special pocket holster for it. It has a small snap locked pocket on it for six extra rounds. I started rubbing skin oil (my own) into the holster section and finally started using baseball glove oil and rubbed it inside every chance I got. I eventually ended up with one sweet little pocket holster for that mouse gun! It fits that pistol almost like it was sprayed on! I love it...... more »« less
